Nestled on rolling hills at the southern tip of Napa Valley, the estate vineyards benefit from growing conditions akin to those of the neighboring Carneros appellation.
The Jameson Canyon location is blessed with cooling winds from the nearby Pacific Ocean, ensuring a lengthy, temperate growing season that intensifies the varietal characteristics.
Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit purity, while malolactic conversion is intentionally avoided to maintain a crisp Chardonnay style. Following a 10-month aging period on fine lees with periodic stirring, the wine matures in 100% French oak barrels, including 17% new barrels from Seguin Moreau, Francois Frère, and Orion, enhancing its texture and complexity.
